This week's newsletter is dedicated to provide the final conference details
Registration and Networking
We will start registration at 8:20 am. We pay attention to your feedback and several attendees asked for additional networking time, we will have some
prizes for the networking activity (8:45).
Some of you registered months ago,
if your situation changed and you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as
possible as we have a waiting list and some of your colleagues would love to
have the opportunity to attend.
You can participate in the activity
even if you decide not to do the actual Board Break, the facilitation has very
valuable information. If you already did it in 2011, you will find new
learnings the second time. We will request participants to sign a waiver in the
morning, please do it even if you don’t plan to break the board, every time we
do this activity, we have attendees who decide last minute, which is perfectly
ok, we just have to make sure you signed the waiver in advance.
Video and photos
The event is recorded and
photographed, these videos are shared on our YouTube and other social media
channels (The video presentations will be shared only with the speaker’s
permission). By attending, you agree to be in these pictures.
Pay It Forward
We are still getting questions from those attending for
the first time. The conference will be offered as in previous years on a “Pay
It Forward” basis.
For more info on how to Pay it Forward, please visit the Pay It Forward Foundation
(Give to your
favourite charity, perform a good deed, make someone smile). This is an honour system, we don’t need to know what you
do. Trailer movie Pay It Forward
is a milestone for Canada. We will offer a 20% rebate to those interpreters who
fill out the ACI aplication form during our conference (even for those not
working with us). For other benefits for ACI, please visit previous newsletters.
There will be signs for the
vegetarian meal. We had to go through extensive
negotiation this year to be allowed to offer the green drinks, so please try it. Some of you follow the Empowerment Tips on our
newsletter, which is later archived at the Empowerment section
on our site, you can find one of our green recipes in this section.
